Sandstorm in Saudi

Kirk Peterson, a friend of our family who still lives in Udhailiyah, sent us these pictures of the shamal that swept through the other day. I always thought shamals were fun in the same way that lightning storms are, but I never saw a wall of sand moving at me like this! One picture is Riyadh. The other is right on the Jebels road in Udhailiyah (where I used to live). Apparently Kirk was on his bike out there and when he saw it coming he tried to outride it. He didn't make it haha. Cool anyway.
